Ralph McQuarrie is a name synonymous with the genesis of Star Wars. The late artist and futurist is arguably responsible for the signature look of the Star Wars universe. It was McQuarrie's masterful talents that brought to life Lucas' vision in a series of conceptual art pieces, allowing Lucas' prospective financiers to get a glimpse of of that galaxy far, far away.
