You Want the Impossible: Wii-Sabers
In a recent interview, Jonathan Smith of Traveler's Tales explained the company's choice not to give Wii owners full control over saber combat in the recently released Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga citing both technical limitations and limitations on the part of the wielder (perhaps it should be Wii-elder?).
"It's partly to do with the technical limitations of how the Wii actually works, but mostly to do with how difficult the task actually is, for both design and technical reasons... the way you have to tackle the animation for a character that can mimic your movements is quite intimidating." He also expresses interest in The Force Unleashed as a benchmark to see what can be done with the Wii-mote.
