Star Wars Pop-Up Guide Video
Tucked in a little spot far far out of the way is a video clip detailing the fun new addition to every addict's library -- Star Wars: A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy. Hosting this little infomercial (you know it will get money out of you so do not deny it!) is the creator of the book, Matthew Reinhart. Titled a ?Paper Engineer,? Reinhart admits to collecting Star Wars ?stuff? of all kinds for 30 years. With his work, he hoped to make a contribution to the Star Wars universe that was special and different. SWAC feels he succeeded.
While detailing the why of his creation and offering a ?making of?, the most exciting part is watching the camera follow numerous page-turnings, revealing the detailed 3-D art inside. The book contains 37 pop-ups spanning ESB, New Hope, and RotJ, including vehicles, droids, Chewie, aliens, and a special morphing Vader.
