RebelFox Comment 1 In reading several volumes in the Harry potter series, it's immediately apparent that Rowling borrowed heavily from the Hero's Journey, as did Lucas. While there's certainly nothing wrong with that (everyone classic hero story we love more or less follows Joseph Campbell's monomyth, though I'm sure I'm largely preaching to the choir here), the end result is that any comparison is therefore obvious and can be replaced with one of any of the many iconic heroes we love. Basically, their article could have said, 'Parallels Between Star Wars and The Matrix', with a graphic of Luke fighting agents in bullet time. Neo's powers within the Matrix are more similar to Luke using the Force than Harry spouting off "Expecto Patronum!" with his wand... but then again, comparing Luke to Neo wouldn't be as JarJaresque and kid friendly.
Forever Comment 2 I thought the article was cool and refreshing. and it has a neato graphic, lol. Luke and Harry have more in common than mere staples of the monomyth, as the source article clearly shows and DD pointed out above.
