Dark Horse's Revenge of the Sith graphic novel, adapted by Miles Lane, inked by Doug Wheatley, and colored by Christopher Chuckry, serves as a vibrant, panel to panel retelling of the most chilling chapter in the Star Wars saga.

Revenge is captured in its near-entirety through Chuckry's appropriately dusk-souled coloring. Fans will enjoy Wheatley and Chuckry's tagteam renditioning of such epic sequences as the confrontation with Dooku, the execution of Order 66, and the twin duel climax of Jedi and Sith. Lane's adaptation includes a few bodily-fluid-enducing additions, such as extended material aboard Grevious' flagship, additional Jedi deaths in the Order 66 montage, and Yoda convening with the ghost of Qui-Gon while meditating on Polis Massa.

Regrettably, Wheatley's facial illustrations can leave something to be desired in their lack of consistancy in certain panels and there is no depiction of what transpires inside the Jedi Temple. But all in all, the Revenge graphic novel will find a loving home in any Star Wars comic collection.

An easy four sabers from me.
