"May The Fourth Be With You"

In a bid to break last year's entrant record of 9000 participants, organizers of the Bupa Great Edinburgh Run on May 4th are promoting their popular 10km road race with the slogan "May the Fourth be with you", encouraging runners to turn out dressed as Star Wars characters.

"The Star Wars theme was what the previous event manager came up with because he is a Star Wars fan and we thought why not give it a go because we can see how many characters from the cast turns up," said Nigel Gough, operations director of Nova International the event organizer.

Cute idea, but the organizer has obviously never tried running 10 feet in full stormtrooper armor, let alone 10km.... heh

Amen to that borther!
Last time I was in a big hurry and tried to out-right run in my TK Armor,
I ended up sprawled out on the road in the middle of a four lane street
in downtown Los Angeles...in broad daylight...in heavy traffic....DOH!
Thank Palpatine I didn't break anything on my Armor, just scuffed it a bit, but nothing I couldn't sand and buff-out.

Though there is a guy who appeared in a part of "Heart Of An Empire" that mod-ed his Armor for a Bi-Athelon, but it pretty much ruined it for "Canon-event" use, so I wouldn't do it.
