Clone Wars
It's Thunderbirds, Band of Brothers, Star Wars and Maybe Even the Kitchen Sink

Last week, at the ShoWest convention for theater owners, George Lucas showed a portion of the upcoming Clone Wars film. While the clips shown in ShoWest have not been released to the public, Lucas has said much to many about the upcoming film, in which he has attempted to clarify just what the TV series is.

According to Digital Spy, Lucas has likened the visual style to that of the Thunderbirds puppets, calling the show, "a stylised cartoon, it's not photo real... it's in a Gerry Anderson style, Thunderbirds. The characters have painted surfaces - they look like they've been painted".

As the Baltimore Sun reported, Lucas says to expect the plot to remind viewers of Band of Brothers, which one would assume means each episode will be a mini-story, focusing on one battle or character, all the while moving the story(war) along in an over-arching manner.

If the TV show is true to these standards (which I expect it will be), then it is sure to be radass™. Though hopefully this means George Lucas will next announce that the live-action series will be styled like a sci-fi/spaghetti western mixture, and that Joss Whedon will be brought in to direct, but that may be a little too impossibly awesome.
