Fanboys Progress. Two Versions?

Dark Horizons is reporting that there looks to be at least some progress on the front of the Fanboys debacle. Apparently the Weinstein Company has been flooded with over 300 thousand emails from fans telling of their displeasure and we will at least see two versions on DVD and they are looking into the possibility of two versions in theaters which sounds like a load of bantha poodoo to me.

Fanboys still has no release date.

It just doesn't seem like the type of movie that a mainstream audience would fork over ten bucks to see in a theater. Two versions of the disc don't really make sense to me either, from a business perspective. The only people likely to buy this movie are hardcore SW fans, who are already pissed off at the existence of the 'lite' version and therefore not likely to buy it. Miss.
