Hasbro Captures The New CG Star Wars Cartoon In Plastic This July
So what can we tell you about the upcoming Clone Wars cartoon from Lucasfilm? Well, it’s about the Clone Wars. It stars a lot of the same guys as the original Clone Wars cartoon (Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda). It’s computer-generated, and not hand-drawn, although character designer Killian Plunkett referred to Genndy Tartakovsky’s original designs. There will be over 100 episodes. They will be a half-hour long. There will be some kind of theatrical release on Friday, on August 15, followed by regular episode broadcasts on Cartoon Network and TNT. Oh, and Boba Fett may show up. So basically, it sounds pretty awesome. Also awesome? These 3 3/4-inch toys from Hasbro, due out in July.
