DarthDan Comment 1 Boy, could Harry ever be more wrong?
JediJef Comment 2 Not too surprising, given that he famously tried to get GL to kill off Han during the RotJ finale, in order to neatly tie up the Luke/Leia/Han triangle (obviously before he was made aware of the sibling angle).
Poti Wan Comment 3 Harrison...sad to hear that...
De Jawa Vu Comment 4 Ford also wanted Han to die in the carbonite at the end of ESB because he believed his death was called for to propell ROTJ.
Riddle Comment 5 Isn't there a saying among the acting community....
"There's no such thing as a one-dimensional character... only one-dimensional actors" Just food for thought. CAndyman Comment 6 Alright I'll be the "odd man out" and say that I agree with Harrison, it was a great character for him to play then but there's not a lot left for him to do with that character. Even if they decided to pick up the saga and continue onward (which will never happen, not with the same story-line) there isn't really anything more he could do with that Character, heck even in the books Han hasn't really changed much, but that's okay in print because it's just a piece of the play for an author. But for an actor, especially an accomplished one, there's not a lot more room for him to evolve Solo beyond where he left him, no challenge.
I'm glad they didn't kill him off in ROTJ because he's had a lot of impact on the EU (though I'm okay with the idea of him getting off-ed any time now |
