Ahhh

I am happy to stick with my own religion. Has to be weird, promoting a religion where they can't even SAY certain things due to copyright infringement.

I actually thought this was a joke, and I believe it started out that way. A lot of people in the U.K marked other/Jedi as their religion on a census survey a few years back, but it was basically a mass prank, there was no organized group at all.

These guys just took that and ran with it I suppose. Pretty creepy if you ask me.

Well the way that so many already organized religions actually operate is pretty creepy so it doesn't really bother me. I've been down the religious road and I found out it's basically all based on smoke and mirrors. Some truth is usually mixed with a lot of other stuff thrown in to make people believe what the Empire wants them to believe. The idea of an Empire like in Starwars is by no means a unique one. It's just that sometimes things are hidden right before our eyes but we don't see it. Just like the Jedi didn't see the encroachment of the dark forces taking over the Republic until it was already too late. Totally parallels very real times in history including the present time.

To be honest...they don't seem any farther from the truth than most other religions and they are having fun embracing their faith. And don't forget that most of the principals of the Jedi faith have just been borrowed from other religions anyway.

When I seek an audience with the Divine I don't go to a chruch or a priest, I pick up a fishing pole or I put on some Armor.

"It doesn't matter what you believe, just believe it!"

Definitely some healthy food for thought, CAndyman.

To be perfectly honest, this "Jediism" is no more realistic than Christianity, Islame, etc. etc. But at least they didn't use a flood myth. (Like almost any other religion in the world)
