DarthDan Comment 1 Methinks Mark Rhahner of the Seattle Times needs to go back and watch the original trilogy, since he thinks that "Obi Wan Kenobi served under Luke Skywalker's father in the Clone Wars."
JediJef Comment 2 Haha, yeah. I'm sure most of these critics wouldn't know the Millennium Falcon from an X-Wing, as they probably watched each of the six films once. Definitely a non-fan perspective.
DarthDan Comment 3 The movie (a term I'm loathe to even use, as it's really a television episode) accomplishes what it set out to be. If folks go in there trying to compare this to any of the films, its going to fail, and they'll have plenty of reasons to bitch. It's a pretty simplistic, fun thing that doesn't even try to be deep. My expectations were low and I had a really good time because of it.
/shrug darth yoda Comment 4 I was thinking, if you haven't watched the movies to know the background, why the f would you watch this one? Send a reporter or whoever that has actually watched at least one of the trilogies. Otherwise stay home and make up a review. It would probably be a better one. And I don't even need to have seen this yet to say that.
