Zahn To Pen OT Era Novel

On June 14th, starwars.com revealed the cover to Timothy Zahn's next novel, Star Wars: Allegiance, that takes place in between the events of A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. Their article hinted that the book might explore the main trio of the classic trilogy films (Luke, Han, and Leia) while staying true to their personalities and struggles during that time period, with the added bonus of Zahn's favorite girl, Mara Jade, as one of Palpatine's foremost agents.
The novel will definitely feature a squad of renegade stormtroopers that will more than likely (judging by the title and cover art) be the story's focus. Even so, with Zahn and the Galactic Civil War era, can you really go wrong?
Look for it in hardcover on January 30, 2007 as our painful waiting game for promising EU titles continues...
